Speed Scrap-Blog Style Contest

I won last week's contest, which was a LOT of fun!  So here's my entry for this week.  I really love that grandson of mine and I think this page came out really nice.

We had to take one photo and make it any shape other than rectangle or square.
2) Place 3 dark papers behind it (2 had to be patterned)
3) Add 4 pieces of ribbon or ric-rac
4) Add at least 5 more embellishments
5) Add a journaling tag
6) Shadow and Date

Whatcha think?

  1. Laura, I really like this. All of your pictures look great - so this is all digital, huh? This is something that I am VERY interested in as I have no patience or time for the actual paper, scissors, and embelisment sort... My question, though, is about how mac friendly these are, and also, do you print them from home or can you simply create like 100 pages and then take to Staples or someplace to have them print? It almost seems like that would be the better way to go with the cost of printer ink? What are your thoughts?

  2. Mac is all I use. My hubby bought me a printer to print out the 12 x 12 sheets, and you're right, the ink is expensive. I've used CVS to print out calendars and Snapfish to make mugs with my scrapbook pages (they caqme our really nice). MyMemories can make books for you and I understand there are many places to print off the pages. I haven't tried it yet, though. Before I got this printer, I made all my albums 8.5" x 11" and used photo paper to print everything off and just put them in sheet protectors and but them in 3 ring binders. The nice thing about this software is that you can make the pages any size you want.
